Job Description
As a Business Development Manager - Sales with leading Freight forwarding MNC for Bangalore / Kolkata / Hyderabad /Chennai your responsibilities include the following

  Generating business for both Air/Sea freight .

- Achieve set individual target & of branch.

- Ensure that customer are provided credit after proper verification.

- -Maintain & develop relationship with customers and help in enhancing business growth.

Key activities Sales administration

- Process Inquiries for Air & Sea Freight Shipments (Air & Sea freight –Origin & Destination charges)

- Preparation of Quotations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

- Report Sales activity into the Sales force.

- Maintain Sales Visit Plan.

- Pursue activities to achieve set KPI’s.

 

Business Development

- To do Sales activity for Air & Sea Freight Import & Export Services .

- Build Business relations with Prospects & Existing customers by regular client visits.

- Follow-up on Quotations and obtain customer feedback.

- Negotiate and Close deals.

-Achieve set individual target set by management.

- Generate Sales leads for Overseas Branches

- To work towards achieving set Sales KPI’s of the Branch.

- To jointly work with the team in Trade lane development.

SKILL SETS & QUALIFICATIONS

Key capabilities

-  Market knowledge of Logistics industry.

-  Strong Selling and communication skills

- Should be Computer Savvy.

-  Should have Relative strengths in Selling Import /Export Air and Sea Freight Cargo.

Expected years of experience

Minimum 5 years of Experience in Freight forwarding Industry.

Educational Qualifications

Should be a minimum Graduate and Preferably with a MBA.
